How much is a quarter peck of apples? How much is a half peck of apples?A quarter peck is 2.5 – 3 lbs of apples & a half peck is 5 – 6 lbs of apples.

What does it cost to pick apples in the orchard?Orchard entrance is permitted with the purchase of a 1/4 peck bag for $12 per every 2 people in your group. Over age 4 requires purchase of a bag. Hay rides around the orchard are available on the weekends when available (weather permitting). The ride is free, but does NOT stop in the orchard.

Is the farm handicap accessible?Our bakery and store is handicap accessible, but our farm is mostly grass. The wagon ride is not wheelchair accessible.

What forms of payment does Woody’s Orchard accept?Cash and major credit cards.

Can I leave the Play Yard and re-enter the same day without paying twice?Yes. Wristbands are provided upon payment that can be used to re-enter. A different color of wristband is used each day.

Can I bring a picnic to the farm?We do not allow any outside food on the farm.

What should I wear to Woody’s Orchard?For safety reasons, everyone should wear closed-toed shoes such as tennis shoes. It is recommended that you and your children wear socks so that you can have your feet covered while on the Jump Pad.

Can I bring my pet to the farm?For the comfort and safety of everyone, we do not allow pets on the farm. Service animals are allowed with identification.

Do you have a general Admission to the farm?There is no charge to enter the farm & visit our bakery and farm market. We charge an admission fee to enter the Play Yard, visit our pricing page for more info. Buy online and save!

Where is Woody’s Orchard located?3223 Creek Rd, Plano, IL 60545. Woody’s Orchard is over 140 acres located at the corner of Frazier and Creek Rd in Plano. The customer entrance is located on Creek Rd, just East of Frazier Rd.

Does Woody’s Orchard sell apples and pumpkins in the store as well as U pick?Yes, as they are ripe and available.

Will you be open if it rains?Yes depending on the severity. Our web site has a weather pop up that will alert you in the event of a closure due to weather. You can also check our Facebook page or give us a call at 630-247-9300.

Is your fruit non-GMO (genetically modified)?No. The trees were grown using the centuries-old practice of grafting, which involves transplanting a cutting from one tree to another.

Are there any allergens in your donuts?Yes – Eggs, milk, soy, and wheat. There are no peanut ingredients in the donuts, however the Bakery is not a peanut free bakery.

Which Apples are best for Pies? Apple sauce?Jonathan, Jonagold, Cortland, Ruby Mac, & Honeycrisp are best for pies. You can also try a mix of half sweet and half tart apples. For applesauce try Snappy Mac, Forrence Mac, Ruby Mac, or Cortland.

How long will squash keep?If you store your squash in a dry cool place, they will keep for about a month to 2 months depending on the variety.

Are you organic?No, but we work hard to use as little chemicals as possible. Extensive university research has shown that the high humidity in our region yields poor commercial production without fungicides. We use an Integrated Pest management system in which we trap and monitor pests to ensure we only do what is necessary to keep our trees healthy.

Is your cider pasteurized?Yes. For those looking to make homemade hard cider, our pasteurized cider will still ferment.

Can your cider be frozen?Yes, just remove about a cup to allow room for expansion and freeze. Use within 1 year.
